CIVIL CONTRACTING IN  CHALLENGING ENVIRONMENTS

Taking cool to a whole new level

When you create district cooling, it presents its own challenges – safety, energy efficiency, performance, economics to name but a few, but when you design, supply, erect and instal the largest district cooling plant in the world, it really does take some planning.

No ordinary cooling plant

C.A.T’s Integrated District Cooling Plant at The Pearl, Qatar included architectural, civil and engineering works, together with supplying all necessary electromechanical equipment. The plant has a capacity of 130,000tons of refrigeration and associated heat exchanger facilities serving over 45,000 residents in more than 100 towers that include approximately 15,000 apartments and 1,500 villas.
